Ma te huruhuru ka rere te manu
Adorn the bird with feathers and it will fly
Let's Korero.
If you are seeking cultural supervision to fulfil NZAC membership requirements, for employment, education or to be an effective and holistic practitioner, please get in touch for a korero/conversation.
I offer you a bi-cultural perspective, or a bridge between yourself as practitioner and your clients who are Maori.
I can speak from a contemporary, urban and rural perspective and within the cultural continuum from ‘compromised’ to ‘realised’ identity as a Maori.
My moemoea/vision is to enable you to practice with an awareness of what you know, courage to apply new learnings and to provide perspective from a therapeutic and cultural viewpoint.
I also use the 7-eyed model for supervision.
As supervision is to specifically benefit your client, any personal value you receive will be an added benefit of this process. As such I am merely your guide, not your teacher, counsellor or cultural expert.
